The sweetest character,
Carved with such grace,
An art I once supposed, unappreciated for what it was,
Lost to the beyond, where no tales can even be told
Such beauty & pride replaced by newer materials,
That bend but never break
As piece by piece the angel's face turns blank with time,
Unmoving through the years deteriorating as each decade slides by
Year by year the emotions fade,
Numbing without the intensity that kept the angel brave
Until the day dawns where the angel can see,
This blank exterior fools nobody,
& so she breaks.

pinned exactly what i felt at the time of writing that very small prompt. the emotions and the imagery is something i am sure that a lot of people can connect to. you have really put a lot of detail into this short piece. and it goes to say for sure that less is deffinantly more. a wonderful and captivating piece. well done

Excelent
I'm wondering what the angel is metaphor of? I feel that the angel represents a person or thing that watches over but people give it little to no respect over the years so it withers away. This is something that can touch anyone.
