Love is just a word
That someone else can take
But the heart is such a fragile thing
That anyone can break
You can say but not mean it
Showing all your feeling false
And easily end alone and sad
With everything at a loss
The thing is that you can’t tell
If the words are ever true
How if you love that person
But they don’t know if they love you
How broken love can easily bloom
When you want so bad to scream
And supposed souls can love so much
Then come apart at seams
The question I wonder is what I do
When he turns his back to me
When I’m sick and he know I’m really mad
But shows no sympathy
How I can’t be there but I want so much
To feel his warm embrace
But all I get is I love you too
That's like a smack in the face
I thought it was the crush I’ve had
Since I heard his calming voice
But I know I truly love him now
And make that as my choice
And even if he’s falling away
I don’t think I’ll love again
No one else can take his place
Not even my best friend
I just hope he finds the way to say
“I want you here forever”
Or I fear that our love will slowly fade
And we’ll never be together

One of your best, but i must say "Not even my best friend" made me go T_T but I know what you mean. Friend's can't replace that feeling you get from someone your falling for. Nice one.

That's a very sad and yet strong write, it's sad but with no self pity and that's what makes it so special. I like the hint of rhyme at some lines and I like the way you took the prompt. Thanks for entering and good luck.
