I have goose bumps! This peice was so symbolic and profound ... and I have to say I love the formatting and structure I think the way you presented this poem worked very well in portraying your message here. I will read this again in the morning.

Such powerful statements throughout the entire poem that it gives one chills. This poem should leave a very powerful imprint on whomever reads it.

    Powerful Piece

I like and enjoyed how this was very thought provoking...You used some key words that would make one think this was penned through you..and the spirit within you has drew this reader into the write with each passing line. Thanks for sharing, and this helped me, I appreciate that, and may all you do continue to be blessed! Much love, Timothy aka poeticweaver~

The only thing I understand in this is the pain, and for those of us who only understand pain, it's pretty hopeless. I am glad to see you writing and I am sure there is a ton of meaning to this for those on your wavelength!

Astute eye to find cryptic messages hidden in plain sight. I only wish myself more familar with bible verse to fully understand this. That which I do,was in it's self a beautifully relayed thought. As to the structure of it as a work. It flows well. This is one of those pieces that will require my feble mind to reread over a few times to sink in compleatly. So,bookmarked it is. Yet would of been anyway do to the importance of having been first, written by my friend. And secondly because I'm certain there is an impoortant message involved in here.Deeper than deep Maat.Ambrosia of the Gods evident.LOL~Suseann

And so it goes. . . So many meanings to be read within this tapestry, yet none shall I name least I weaken it's intent with personal interpretation. But I got it ~ know it is so.. Selah. . .

When you added the note that this poem wasn't so much written by you, but through you-I could so identify with what you were saying. This had to come up from the very debths of your soul. I'd like to hear this on audio, and just close my eyes and experience it. A wonderful phenomenal write-excellent!~vj

Thank you, Dennis! I wouldn't have thought it "New Age" exactly, but certainly universal - as all things spiritual really are.

Aaah, I knew you would see and tap some of the levels of this paradigm-paradox Lyn! Thank you!

Although I am very familiar with Donne, I don't actually know Hopkins and only a little of Yeats. The symbolism is archetypal and has evidently been used by the best.

    I simply wonder & wonder ...

This poem does not have to be about the eternal presence of Christ waiting for that conception, that spreading of the Word; that conviction in others' hearts; that execution; that Resurrection in Spirit. The paradox of being conquered to conquer. But, it is the Truth that is conceived, often abused, killed off and buried and this often with bloodshed and then the Renaissance of Truth, its indestructible nature in the tribe of man from eternal depths unto eternity returned. Diction: I liked the latent power in "quiescent"; the antithesis of "Metaphysical" and "Empirical"; "Treachery answered loyalty". Most of all I loved the poem within a poem:
    Holy,Heaven-sent benediction;
    Truth - Love's heart; Dust,
    Truth bled tears,
    Valediction blooded Earth, moistened,
    Glory grew - flooded!
    Filling, filling ...
    Blue-bright spilling flame;
    True gift, Life,
    few rent & sent
    Mystical, Heaven spent
    All ... one!

This is a complex poem which, when unlocked, carries great weight. Very much like a latter day Gerard Manley Hopkins and Yeatsian with the suggestion of the multifoliate and inviolate Rose so spiritually symbolic for him.

The essence of the twinned poems seems to be Yeatsian again in that we are all part of the sea and wisdom of humanity: his "spiritus mundi". Also, Donnesque - in that we are all a part of the main (blood soaked or not). If one man dies we all feel that as no man is an island entire unto itself.
Dear Gennelle, I feel that I have only tapped into this poem. You are capable of more economical writing than anyone I have read, I think. In case people think that I have not read much , if you have understood my comment you will know that that is untrue. Lyndon.

Beautiful expressed feelings of ill spent purpose of some. What this dulled slow spirit gleened in a single message of one line standing out for me was.Your saying, that not one solitary life is of importance in and of it's self. But as a fraction dew drop in a great sea of all life it is paramount.Hope I followed.~~Suseann

So much went through me as I read this again and again. I think your description of a 'mirror' is just about perfect for this piece. I think it will mean much to some. Not to be read but absorbed and reflected...and not a work for the mind but the spirit. Your poem was an added light to my meditation this morning.

    I feel the same
    wrapped in one flame
our love remains eternal, as the swirling sea
within the precious rare gifts of freedoms eternal peace

reality has many points but few we see as right
dreams though on the other hand give us our path and light
    what is a dream today
    could be alive tomorrow

even when we lose our way our dreams can ease our sorrows
I tell you that we touched
    you know I wouldn't lie
it really meant so much you see to take you in the sky
for me there's wings for everyone
for with you I see and feel the power of the sun.

The message is similar, the style is similar, but something is very different about this poem than the others. first reading it almost borders on the dark interspersed with light. Yup gonna have to think about this one. This one passes my mind, and staight PAST the heart, lol Yeah, um, it's one of those that you'll have an AHA experience after it sits with you awhile.

    Tour de force!

This is a very moving poem, which bypasses my mind and goes straight to my heart. I hope the mind will catch up later, this is very good! The typesetting (while tedious) heightens the visual impact with an emotional punch.
If you have to do a poem like this again, save it in a text file, and tinker away, then paste it here.
