Gerbil Gerbils

Gerbil Gerbils fuzzy and small
Little face of whiskers curious eyes
Critter small on hind legs stand tall
Sad is the gerbils left alone
Gerbils in groups happily play
Stacked in sweet warm sleep
Long furry tails in all directions

Gerbil gerbils fuzzy and small
Girl at ten wanted to get one
Girl at twenty got two
Very soon two was fifteen
Still she loves the little ones
And do not regret a thing
Gerbil gerbils taken to heart

Author notes

Normally I would chose my cat... but wanted to send some love to my gerbils
I recall falling in love with gerbils when I was little... poem tells just how it ended up when I got some... uhm... yeah...
Still gerbils are loveable little critters... and in my opinion much more suited as pets than hamsters.

Photo is one of my own... got a lot of other photos... but decided on this one because it shows how they stack when they sleep (if enough to do so) ^-^ which is one of the cutest things about them.

        Han hedder Supertramp ham jeg snakker med herinde... Men det er sgu da fedt, der er et par danskere rundt omkring herinde;-)... Skal da tjekke dit stuff ud på et tidspunkt....
