Tossed aside
Abandoned
Left to decay
As you pass by, you don't turn a blind eye or even look my way
That pelt, that thing, a bloody mess
Bunches of fur, no more
A roadside spectacle for the absent minded to attest
No one realizes the beauty once possesed
Transformed more or less
Such an unappreciated death
I hope you arn't next

Seeing a dead animal on the road does make me feel sad but you are right, its accepted with barely a passing thought as we are so used to th sight, but these were living beautiful creatures, gone in a moment.Your poem reminds us that they do matter.Very well written.Montey
