I saw you bloom today
Once a tiny bud
You blossomed and the sight is too good to be true
I know you're not a perfect flower
If such a thing exists, in my eyes it's you
But all flowers must grow and your innocence will not last forever
Like a good gardener I'll watch over you
With paranoid eyes toward all your suitors
You will never have a fear of being trammpled
Sadly I know a man will pick you for himself one day
To me you will always remain that bud, I had the privledge to watch
Grow and blow away

Welcome to AllPoetry
What a beautiful poem
I could take this metaphorically with a parent and a child who watches their daughter/son grow and move on to be married but I can also take it for what it is; either way it is lovely
I hope you enjoy AllPoetry and continue to share your words with us

Stay safe

Welcome to AllPoetry
I like the way your poem can be taken literally or figuratively
In line 3 it seems like your first instance of "to" should be "too
It seems that the gardner is like the parent of a child who is growing up or even like the creator watching over his children. Nicely written

Thanks, seems that got lost in translation from my notebook to the big screen.
