I still can taste my tears
After all these years as
I looked for you, but you were gone
Too young to know that all along
You were watching me from heaven
Over a decade ago when I was seven
And when I died, I sought you out
Asked if you ever lingered about
My life to protect and watch over me
And you shook your head and said gently
That you had always let me be
My heart dropped because I thought you cared
So you corrected me with haste
You approached me with angelic grace
As you reached out and touched my face
You smiled as you looked at me
And said you knew
"There was no need"

Amazing write. So much emotion and writen so clearly and precisely it takes no effort from the reader to understand the meaning of this. I enjoyed reading it. Thank you for entering my contest, Unfortunately, you have not put your username in the author's notes as I asked in my contest contest description. So I'm going to have to delete this, since I'm looking for favourites this does have a purpose. Thanks for entering anyway and good luck in your writing. Its a shame I would have liked to have read more of your work.
