it pains you to write
but it is so beautiful that it doesn't matter
so you vomit out your words and make poems out of fridge magnets
at people's dinner parties while
everyone else
eats their feelings
with justification
i watch the way you pull your hair back behind your ear,
show your collagen lips and goldfish eyes
say quietly "all i ever wanted
was to be beautiful"
like it would
come true
one day
but it already
has.
i dont know.

You have a gift, I don't say this just to comment. You can take this somewhere.

This poem is also beautiful. Lots of raw emotion, truth and a great poetic style.

This poem is very fast paced. or was for me. i had to reread it as i got confused. for some reason, all the way to "eating .... feelings with justification" for some reason i thought this was an angry poem. boy did the end shock me. after rereading it though. this is a beautiful piece of poetry. your imagery is a force to be reckoned with.
