Gaara is the desert.

I am a child of the future.
  Born an adult.
Universally rejected and ignored,
  living a superfluous existence.

A great monster raging within me.
  Cackling at the moon's beckon.
Fulling the insanity that dwells within,
      every souls indecision.
Mine was however magnified, by a beast.
Who turned my want to protect into lust,
    personified by reckless violence.

At one time, my bonds to others were so base,
    only of hatred and murder.
I allowed every corpses bitter crimson tears
to mingle with the endless sand,
      filling the chaos within me.
        making me stronger.

I have overcome that lack of emotion.
I will show all who feared me,
how even a simpleton can learn,
      of love.

How one birthed to be an organic machine of death.
Can lead a village, with the mercy of hope.
Claiming my father's place, I am the ruler of my people.
A faithful, humble, desert people.  With my sister and brother,
protecting my side.  We will rise like the sun,
  into the next generation.

I will never be that evil creature again,
  disregarding my conscious.
But with freinds at my side, I will never forget.

I am still a child of the future.........reborn.

Author notes

Gaara is the youngest of three siblings. He was born fused with a great spirit in him, which allows him to control sand which he keeps in his giant gourd on his back. Eventually after his father's death, he took his place as Sungakure, leader of the Village Hidden in the Sand. A desert community, trying to regain stability after a war.

Thank you so very much for reading this, your opinions are important to me. I'm trying to get better with each one, and write in a way that would tell you about the characters even if you had never seen the show. And if you had seen it, you would know what some of the lines alluded too.

      Thanks sis!
