the arrogance
that he could be choosey
doesn't he know that he should take what is offered him?
who does he think he is?
these are the voices in my mind
telling me to settle
to make do with what I've got because its all I'm going to get
but I am listening to the smaller voice
the one I haven't paid enough attention to, over the years
this one is concerned with love, and suitability,
and dreams
