The thistle and the thorn

Upon a garden green
fresh floral,s did grow
blooming in such colorful
arrays, reds, golds and blues
to catch upon the breath
of life,s indelible hues
all the while there was
lying upon a wait
the thistles and the
thorns that strip the
garden bare, it's greedy
appetite to sate!

Author notes

I am the garden....the thistle and the thorn? Chronic pain........

Wow! I really liked this one! well done! Only part I wasn't sure about : it's greedy apetite to sate. Not sure what this means but I like the shortness and the flow. It's a good quick read. But I'm not sure if it's contest worthy.
