The Waltz

Here we are dancing a waltz in each others arms,
Oh, your beauty and your charms,
Setting off all sorts of alarmes.

For this is our final dance,
There is no future, no chance.
Of many, this is our last dance.

We both know,
We' just decided it will not show.
No one else need know.

This one dance,
Is our last chance,
To dance one last sweet dance.

Then, Goodbye

INspired by the late, great Patsy Cline

  • I think you meant ( chance ) on the 5th line. This is also a great flowing poem and makes you see that you have only one chance to have your dance. Well written
