The sea,
I see the sea.
With it's cool water crashing against pebbled shores.
It has a smell of its own,
Cold, salt, fish, decay of vegetation.
Nobody's tanning, or playing volleyball.
Just the gulls, the salt, and the rocks.
Dead salmon get caught in the rocks,
Which makes for an interesting smell and a sad sight.
A cold northern wind blowing a fog like mist of rain.
Only the determined or the stupid fish this day,
I'm not sure which I am.
And what did I catch...
A dead salmon.
It had an interesting smell.
