You sit there silently. Then suddenly you hear a rumbling. The sound of many little feet stomping. You look around wondering where it's coming from. That's when you see it...
A hand...a hand clawing out from beneath the couch. It desperately grasps for a hand hold on the carpet. Slowly it pulls itself forward to be followed by another hand. You notice the hands appear to be masculine. This is when you begin to wonder...why would a man be under the couch?
Minutes pass by with the arms slowly clawing their way from beneath the couch, with great struggle. But soon, a head follows. It is the head of a man with strong masculine features, a rough face with strikingly brown eyes, and long dark brown hair hung loose. A short trimmed goatee dons his rough but strong chin. A look of determination resides within his eyes.
Slowly, a torso follows the head, and soon after that, a set of legs and feet. Finally when the man is fully out from under couch, he stands up and bends over, hands on his knees, breathing heavily. His long hair falling down to obscure his face. Suddenly he stands straight up and you see he is dressed in baggy, faded, blue jeans and a simple white t-shirt. He brushes himself off hurriedly and runs out of the room.
You hear the clank of armor from the next room. Just as you're about to stand up to check whats going on the man comes bursting back in, donned from head to toe in a Gladiator's suit of armor. He draws his sword and stares menacingly at the couch. He then raises his sword and begins to yell.
"Come my brethren! It is time to finally wage war! For far too long have they inhabited our homes! Claiming lost keys and spare change! And tonight! Oh tonight! They tried to claim my life! Well I say They've gone too far! This is the end of their rebellious life style! I say this time, we take the fight to them! We invade THEIR homes and crush them before they can take anything else! Its time we reclaim what is rightfully ours! Who here will stand beside me and bring the fight to the enemy? Who here will stand by my side with their sword in hand and crush the opposition? Who here will help me rid the world of this plague? Who here will help me to finally put an end to the Dust Bunnies!"

That was amazing!
Hahaha!
I'm delusional most of the time, what with a very big lack of sleep (days... o days...) so I understand this very well.
I could see every bit of that, and I've had similar thoughts lately.
Anyway, well done brother.

You possess a vivid imagination..You utilize great imagery..You allow the reader to invite themselves into your tale..you kidnap them..not allowing them to leave intil you are done with them. This is what you need to do in poetry...hold their attention..if now..they will abondon you.You need to focus , not only on every stanza, or every line,, but on every word you use,,you need to proof read all your poems..twice..If you desire to be the best..you need to do everything to provide you with an advantage over everyone else..This takes patience and time..If you desire to suceed, you need to put in the time to master your craft. There is no short cut..You either do it, or it will not happen for you..I am being up front..Listen to my words..Practice your craft. or do something else..Simple as that..I will help you any way I can.All you need to do is ask...OK??

Heyya
In the end it turned out to be kind of funny, but the beginning actually scared me! I have such clear pictures when I read things like that, and I could see that guy and what he was like... This would make a good critical work on war actually, but still I like how it turned out. I like contrasts like that.
Good job, big bro
