A Hero

Who are these self righteous symbols we idolize in our every day life.
Are these characters of good just a work of fiction or do these selfless souls actually exist in our everyday lives.
"Hero" is a term much overused in media.

A hero is someone who will do good even if no one is there to see him.
He will speak up when everyone else stays silent.
someone who defends the defenseless on a whim.
He doesn't need to resolve to violence
Does it sound familiar? Maybe you know one... fuckin unlikely.
The unselfish are  a dying breed.
Far from perfection, I find my own morales fight me.
Extinction nears the good deed.
Our world is infested with vanity and greed.
Our people; insanity, close to infectious weeds.
But there is a few that stand above others.
God dam.. These people need rise up and lead.
They need to teach everyone to treat his fellow man like a brother.
Like everyone comes from the same loving mother.
We need to stand up for people we don't know.

Be aware of the actors, look for the factors. They wear the mask of a hero.
But when nobody is watching and when you need help and you ask they go from righteous to zero,
they play a good show.

The true hero won't start a battle.
Although there comes a day where every man must fight.
A hero is the bright light in the endless night
whose heart is only matched by his might.
A hero is willing to sacrifice, for others.
In a heros mind, everyone is his brother.
A hero is modest, he's honest.
And the ultimate feat of a true hero is to forgive and forget.
It's to rise above personal revenge and see it as a debt
that will be paid in do time when kharma comes right around and stabs them from behind.

So live long and be kind
and make sure to rewind. and check your records.  and maybe you will just find the traits and righteous acts that most people seem blind to.

And when you're in need  and theres nobody watching. You better pray that a true hero will find you.
