Secret Love;
Never was the moon so bright before, your hands on mine as we slowly wasted away into the darkness of the solar system. "See that star, It belongs to you." Pushing me away quickly, I took in my one last breath.
Marlboro Reds and Axe.
Summer was coming to an end, soon we'll be picking away our scabs, and whispering goodbye. It seemed like forever ago that we frolicked around in the golden grain, deodorant stains seeping through our shirts.
You were my antidote,
Behind closed eyes you could
c u r e everything.
Pale knees all skinned and bruised, I couldn't believe that this was going to be my last goodbye. "Stand still; look pretty" You removed each tear one by one, kissing my face while doing so."I'll be back. I promise."
"& we'll live like Bella & Edward."
Secret Love;
I gently dropped the red roses of the battered coffin. The day you left I came over; I looked through books and realized that you never really wanted me. You left our love, you left what we've become.

The sky is falling.
falling hearts under forbidden stars
--
But you aren't here anylonger.
you were my best mistake.
I knew your heart I couldn't win.

I really liked this.
I really enjoyed the rose&coffin imagery the best.
I also liked the smells you produced in the poem.
Like Marlboro Reds & Axe.
Thanks for entering!!
