Leaves are waltzing their final movements to ringing silver pipes
hung from Colonial porches;
cool crisp notes of lonely hearts
wandering blustery New England lanes of changing seasons.
Eyes dilate sooner than usual this time of year,
pupils longing for the stimulating light of life.
Violin and piano serenades in minor key
address our sleepy eyes of rest and spent strength,
as if all of creation whispers it’s soothing song of,
‘peace be still and know that your not alone.’
