Snow covered banks embrace a rushing
river cloaked in frigid clarity.
Gratifying and austere beauty defines
a looming prospect of cruelty.
Lathered over the remnants
of Mother Nature's raw and
crisp sighs, anxiety weaves
itself, an intricate design.
It merges into the scene
underneath a guise of silent winter.
