Warm blooded creatures,
that nurture their young,
feed their young,
from the glands that name their genre.
So why do we hide them?
Culture and morals aside,
are we that afraid of being reminded of what we are.
Because really, we know what we are.
we are mammals.
I'm a mammal,
and if you are reading this so are you.
So lets not shy aware from our nature,
and take a good look,
without sneering or lust,
or some back-peddling idea before hand of what we look upon.
Smile if you want,
blush if it helps,
a little joke won't hurt either,
but be careful,
because apparently,
if you don't pay them enough attention,
they can kill you.

Welcome to AllPoetry!
To me, a slightly comical look at a stark truth. Like the ending, (but not the unfortunate end result at times ). A light hearted piece for a serious cause.
Welcome to AP and good luck in the contest

welcome to allpoetry
A good write for an excellent cause. Though it is obvious which option you used here you will still need to put that in your notes section. If you need help with this just ask.
Good luck to you in the contest.

Welcome to All Poetry~
I like the 'air' this poem has. We need something on the light side without disturbing the truth.
Written well overall, with just a little tweaking needed.
Thank you for entering. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Warmly, CookieZeal
