Where rainbows go to sleep is the place we should be
To take away hidden pain deep inside, that none can see
I want all to behold the CinemaScope of beautiful colors year round
Live your lives, fulfill dreams, and enjoy the sweetest of sounds
The laughter of children at play or just pulling a cart
The smile of love ones who has the key to your heart
Joy when you wake as a brand new day begins
Love as you thank the Lord for forgiving your sins
Excel in whatever your hearts desire reaches toward
Vanquish all the pain the world for you has stored
Lighten the burdens of the children of today is what I would do
For I believe that rainbows and dreams can really come true
I close my eyes and I see the spiraling affect of non-belief
The broken homes, devastation, hearts filled with grief
If only all could see the beauty in a single falling leaf
By chance to find that special place where rainbows go to sleep

Most Beautiful
You have done an outstanding work here with this poem,it should be in a book. The images are so brilliant and the back ground and choice in color writing is wonderful.I think one of the best poems I've read for quiet awhile. Lovely

My wish for the world would to be live in peace! Unfortunately I will most likely have to wait for the afterlife to have. You make the reader ponder, searching and questioning themselves. Do they have what they want or have they let society rule their life. Good luck in the contest. Rose

oh, this is so very precious and loving! you are very compassionate. I think that is quite clever how you did the colors of the rainbow represented in each stanza. Best of wishes in the contest. This is a winner for sure!
