Shadow Fighting

I left my home and my family to sleep
I see you waiting for me outside
And then you walk me to my Jeep
I look away and you are gone

I get to work and I see you there
Waiting for me as I get out
How did you get here before me?
I ask with a lot of doubt

Your waiting for me everywhere I go
My translucent stalker friend
Can everyone else see you here?
Or are you just pretend?

You finally let me be alone
When the sun goes down
But I swear that I have seen you
Near that big light post in town

While I was mowing my lawn today
I tried to run you down
I missed; I fell and hit my head
And ended up on the ground

Then I heard my neighbour say
Look at the crazy guy with the barrow
He’s in the middle of a fight
With his own bloody shadow!!
