Silently Clinging

My life twirling as the ice juggles its way down
between hope and freedom the fridge is still full
so yet there is still time to contemplate,truth
and the reason, born releases as the cubes melt

Segregation of life wanted and the one i hold
reminiscence capturing the boundary between
as the heart whispers sweetness while the mind fades
the body coming along for the ride within their secret

Acceptance walking with pain, an excuse for another drink
as nicotine ghosts its way to the ceiling, cradling comfort
to a tomorrow that has no wrongs with wings i seek
as another yesterday slides into the distance of the

.....evermore
