Somewhere Beyond

Missing image

somewhere beyond
where the rainbow kisses
crystalline waters

somewhere beyond
where dreams divide
into shards of promised reality

somewhere beyond
where the final flicker of innocence
disappears into darkness

my thoughts, my perpetual beliefs
float on the winds of chance
searching for solitude in which to rest

trusting only in the faith
that old memories will no longer find me
nor cause me harm

this riddle of life
and all it's answers
are waiting to be discovered

somewhere beyond

I love this! You have been inspired by one of my favorite poems by Colin! I can see why that quote would inspire, and inspire it did as you have created such a piece here! Such a mood flows from this haunting and beautiful!

Thank you for entering and for being a wonderful and supportive part of poets with feathers!

I loved the first three stanzas. I always feel that repeating a line more than two times is too much, and perhaps it is here too, but what followed the repetition made up for it. Very poetic indeed, like a dream of some sort. Maybe it is suppose to be sad, but all I could see was inviting beauty. Good job!

thank you so much, I am pleased that not only did you enjoy the piece for the feeling it provided but also for the fact it stimulated thought, that in itself is the greatest reward any piece could give me.
