Breathe Soundlessly

Whispered secrets
binding within a name
the damning consequences
of my so-called 'sins'
breathe soundlessly
I need sanity in comfort
if I am to be redeemed
illicit love
carries its own death within it
broken ocean of imaginary
revealed in a single instant
every level of devotion

Wipe the recollection
so I can forget
the divine immanent within me
transcending the realization
that my way of love culminates
...release me…
to the freedom of being
whispered about in lost prayers
brush aside the webs
of unconscious compulsion
that begets me
in wanting more

Please tell me what you think

A very powerful poem--as is compulsion. Heart wrenching. Well written . If based in truth, wishing you the best in finding the light within (the core of divinity)--actually SELF Love. No intention to lecture---only best wishes!

mm maybe i am wrong..i usually am...but i think in this wonderful poem i read a sub narrative of buddhist thought and zen in particular..what is that saying..yes..zen spirituality is not thinking about god while you peel potatoes, zen spiritaluality is simply to peel the potatoes...wonderful...well done

This is deep, powerful, compelling and spellbinding!!! I love it, every word. I think you have truly found your voice. This speaks to me of the nature of knowing what you want but not knowing how to get it, where to get it, or even if it exists. Yet, we dream and we dream of what may be...

    Mysteriously provocative, with a darkness
that invites intrigue. the picture you use
is as fragmented as these intense words.
They speak with a depth of longing and
subtle melancholy. Nicely done my friend
