The tease

As your smile cracked like the frozen lakes below,
  blanketed from a golden day

Each look became a skate slice over my exterior heart,
the true one still protected by this wall

I stumbled many miles towards the danger of your questioned mind,
hoping the answer inside, matched your lips

My fingernails try to scrape the selfish pride away from yours,
  but only nailpolish falls
