From any one person,
What they can give you is more important than what you can take.
From an artist, her inspiration is more important than what she creates.
For a mathematician, a solution is more important than a problem.
But those solutions?
Without a formula he couldn't have got them.
Without our most important part
All single lovers are just half a heart
And when we find our other half,
Well, then difficult science becomes easy math.
As elementary students know,
A numerator over a denominator can equal a whole.
And when our two whole halves cross paths
Then I hope hormonal science can become flirtatious math.
Author notes
Difficult science= when others cant find who they are looking for because for some reason or another they arent attracted to anyone. easy math= 1+1=2, obvious relationship math thing.

This has a lot of wisdom in it....a simple truth, but brought across in a very deep way. I think this is very well-done. It gives us a new way to bring across an old truth.

If a half could think it would think it was the whole. then is finds the other half and realises its only been a half all it life. Nicely illustrated. This poem certainly leaves the mind thinking. As the atoms change and increase in number their nature changes. Great job. Thanks for sharing.

cute + poetry = well done
love this poem, an unusual take on finding your other half. creative use of maths and science as images of the wholeness of love.
