In other cultures; on
Worlds in a dimension
We know not yet,
All is perfection...
No shame or guilt, nor
Morbid diseases there be
We can run and play
In nudity free
For in this place sex
Is a spiritual delight
Doesn't need to be
Kept out of sight
A world so perfect
Jealousy and violence are not
Wherever one goes
He can see two or more
Lovers being sexually free
Without diseases or fear
We can love anyone who comes near
Divided by sexuality or marriage
Rites, we are not
For loving is the basis of
All of our thoughts
Oh, what a perfect world
This would be, if only:
It were reality!
Worlds in a dimension
We know not yet,
All is perfection...
No shame or guilt, nor
Morbid diseases there be
We can run and play
In nudity free
For in this place sex
Is a spiritual delight
Doesn't need to be
Kept out of sight
A world so perfect
Jealousy and violence are not
Wherever one goes
He can see two or more
Lovers being sexually free
Without diseases or fear
We can love anyone who comes near
Divided by sexuality or marriage
Rites, we are not
For loving is the basis of
All of our thoughts
Oh, what a perfect world
This would be, if only:
It were reality!

Fantacy world come true! They did have a TV show about this type of culture in the future where lover's were free to love anyone! But, alas chaos took over and so did the rules of humanity once again!
Lovely imagery this poem portrays...

Nicely done ~
Sadly, we in more "civilized" nations fail to see the beauty of life as seen thru the eyes of these people you speak of...
Funny, how we in all our might are the ones brought down by sexual diseases.

I adore your sentiments, utopian, yes of course, but so was democracy not so long ago, every facit within humanity is in continual evolution this certainly includes the emotions. Your philosophy is strong and just. Jelousy, violence do indeed belong in the same camp along with slavery, and the many man made institutions of control, marriage, church, love. . . I like your approach, and talent for words.

Always interesting...
It is not poetic poetic, and slightly jars as it begins by asking what the world might be like, but ends with thenarrator being a member of the liberated new race.
it does ask an interesting question, and harks back to flower power, or that period in the 1920s /30s in Europe where people were getting into Naturism, building Lidos and so on. It seems that people can accustom themselves to nudity easily enough, but to hope that after a million years or so of evolution- development if you prefer-- Man is likely to be the way he is because that has proved a successful strategy, jealousy and all. Suppose several people are living to-gether. One of them wants sex with another; but so does someone else. Logically, you could toss for it, or, more reasonably, ask the desired person. But someone is not going to be able to do what they wanted, and since it is such a basic drive, I suggest that they will not be happy to be rejected; and that comes pretty close to jealousy.
Sadly, I think we need unhappiness in order to know happiness, just as we need dark to have light.

Perhaps so, yet 'tis a lovely fantasy! Why be jealous: Love knows no boundaries, in my philisophy! Thank you for your comment; compliment, and applause for I do appreciate them.

Ah. Interesting.
Love can be a beautiful thing...I don't think this type of eutopia would fly for long, though. Who are we is not for our emotions, and jealousy is most definitely an emotion.
But this was an awesome write.
Write on.

Thank you for your comment; compliment, and applause, for I do appreciate them. Jealousy isn't part of my emotional makeup, for I believe that I cannot possess another human being, that is slavery. My lover, or spouse, is not a possession! He/she is not a piece of furnature; or an automobile, etc, etc, etc. He/she is a human being. Love is not limited by the number of partners in one's life, or within one's home.
