I thought the grass was greener
So it took awhile to see
Some wishes were horses
For beggars like me
Reality was something different
Never sweet as my dreams
Never ever so close
As you and home seems
So my heart's in my hand
Standing on your stair
And I'm hoping my failures
Disappear in thin air
Cause I'd really like forever
Instead of the fool I've been
I'd really rather hold you
Than all the grass I've seen

Wow this was really well written. I enjoyed reading this. It flowed smoothly. I really liked the first Stanza. They were all good but anyways thanks so much for the read and keep up the good work.

You know that is the one thing about our homes, when we learn to appreciate our 'yards' and properly 'maintain' them our 'property' value always goes up! I love the message that you have within this, but I do have to say that as I read it a few times it can easily be interpreted a couple ways, and that I also like, but then I always love poems that can be interpreted in more than one way. It is good to see you posting again, I always miss your writes when you go for long periods without posting. Be well my friend.
