Misplaced the pain,
I just wanted you to say my name.
Now you're a ghost;
This case was misdiagnosed.
In this broken down house,
You’re that small creeping mouse.
You echo our memories in my mind.
You follow me just far enough behind;
Remind me-I’m the one to blame.
Are you through with your childish game?
I want to run,
But I always trip and fall.
You said you’d keep me safe.
But I'm scared knowing you've left me chafe.
The hidden shack,
You keep trying to lure my heart back.
Bittersweet,
You’ve pushed me aside;
Therefore I’ll change your tide.
I’m looking through you.
I’m seeing all that’s honestly true.
Bittersweet,
You say my reaction was just a “girl” thing?
Nevertheless, I refuse to stay on your short string.
You cut me down,
And no longer will I wear your tantalizing frown.
You’re the dark, empty street.
You’re always bittersweet.
I’m finding a new way.
I promise you, I will see a brighter day!

Loved the title, the emotion so heart breaking. This write had a nice flow to it and I really enjoyed it...
'You echo our memories in my mind.

Remind me-I’m the one to blame.
Are you through with your childish game?'
Beautiful...
