The clock slows down tick-tick,tick-tick,tick-tick--
Now tick--tick--tick---
It needs a charge again,
It never succeeds, to keep up the momentum.
For once does agility break in,
But it won't stay, it will leave--
Soon as the initial energy withers away.
Then apathy will step in,
Fill the blank with stasis;
The hour glass will freeze,
And a melancholy will spread over all;
The pendulum will loll,
And the bird will fall asleep.
Only an inspiration is sought
To open the eyes, broaden the perspective,
Exit torpor, Enter vigour
A shot of adrenalin
Through the nerves, to bring in verve
And get back on track
Till then----
Inertia.

And as we get older, I mean OLDER, the clock speeds up never giving us enough time to do all that we put off doing before.
Words of wisdom here... don't put off until tomorrow what you can accomplish today.
A good poem, written with a sense of reality.

This left me feeling very apathetic and fuzzy
I've no idea why except that its atmosphere rubbed off on my mind.
Great write. -
