Battle Field

Can some one tell me?
What this little fellow is thinking,
What is in his little eyes?
Dreams, ambitions or fear,

He is in a battle field,
Looking back, towards his home,
Burning with his future,
Yes, I can see it in his eyes,

I know, he is shocked,
Of what is going on,
Why people behave like wild animals,
It’s too much for him,

    He/she has a very enigmatic expression. Your poem offers a feasible explanation for the child's troubled stare. The sadness an event like that would bring could fit. Your poem reflects the sadness and confusion of the child. Nicely written. Thanks for entering my contest and best of luck!
