He stabbed and stabbed
until he was done
Until the beat of heart
stopped and gone.
I screamed and shouted,
begged and pleaded

I looked at my killer
straight in the eye
He stood there
watching me die
Then,
my eye started to bleed
The blood dropped
down to my cheek
and bleeded some more,
until the blood from my heart
started to pour
and the beat was still drumming
but the music stood still
And the blood stopped bleeding
and my eyes stopped seeing more.

I gave my last breathe
And closed my eyes
I stood up as the path opened wide
I couldn't see
but I knew what was there
Something that would free my soul
up in the air
Everything was cold
and my body was gone,
but my lonely heart wouldn't stop beating.

But the light
had shone me the way
and the butterflies ascended
up, up
away.
