Simple unit of one, with manifold
Intricate designs and workings
Never yet duplicated in the physical
Gears and levers, propellers and widgets
Logistical language that surpasses super genius
Elevated to engage and energize
Complex compounds of chemical churnings
Entering through liquid gates and walls
Literally listing and laboring to litigate a
Large lucrative license to live
Author notes
I'm blown away by the genius and grandeur of the design of the cell. It's a micro universe in diversity and engineering magnificence that is still being studied and amazing scientists!
2Sa 22:16 And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of YAH, at the blast of the breath of His nostrils.
Ps 24:1 The earth is YAH'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
Ps 33:8 Let all the earth fear [awe] YAH: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
Ps 50:12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is Mine, and the fulness thereof.
Ps 89:11 The heavens are Thine, the earth also is Thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, Thou hast founded them.

This poem brought to mind some Scripture for me: Psalm 139:14 reads; "I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are your works, and my soul knows very well." This is also stated in the new testament: Ephesians 2:10. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared beforehand that we should walk in them". Anyone who examines the evidence of the complexity of even one tiny cell and not see intelligent design behind it is sadly fooling themselves. Darwin tried to make monkeys out of us by his spurious theories, it is in understanding that we ARE the creation of God that gives life meaning and purpose. Thank you for sharing this thoughtful poem, write on my friend. God Bless!

for joining me in the celebration of His Word & truth. I love the scriptures you quoted.
This just won an HM, is the 3rd. poem I entered in this contest, but the first I wrote specifically for it. I'm so happy that Father opened a door for me to use the talent He gave me to praise His Name! HalleluYAH!
The reason I was inspired to write this is that the grandeur of His work is manifest in the smallest known element or part of the body. As you say [& I agree wholeheartedly] if one can't see Intelligent Design & the Great Designer Architect of the universe in what they see they're blind! Satan & his minions are always trying to dis Father & The Savior, but we know what's going to happen to them & all who deny the Truth.

Dear K...Amazing, brilliant and very creatively inspirational acrostic! Your descriptive imagery and intelligent word choices make a vivid portrayal of a living cell! Our faith in our Great God tells us He is the author of such magnificance and creation. We truly are "fearfully and wonderfully made!" as read in Psalm 139!
Excellence in penning dear friend, and your author's notes as always back up your writes, and the scriptures need no more explanation for this wonderful entry in the contest! Bravo! All the best in the contest!

so for your read & intelligent comments. I'm humbled daily with the opp He gives me to praise His Name & glory with the talents He's given me. He's the brilliant One Who inspires me. I'm His servant and scribe & am amazed and dwarfed by what He shows me.
Hearing from fellow poets & believers who understand is so rewarding & comforting.
After 3 entries I finally got through. The first 2 were prewrites which weren't what the host was asking for & then I wrote this specifically for him. He's not into Intelligent Design, but could see & appreciate what I was inspired to write. That's a major blessing. Blessings to you dear one.

Thank you, if for no other reason than writing something that other proponents of intelligent design who've entered into this contest have not (at least I'm assuming by the biblical quote that you support ID...I may be wrong and if so I apologize for the assumption). You don't talk about your beliefs and how they counter science. You simply talk about something beautiful and wonderful that science has discovered. Bravo!
I also think, as a poem, it does well. The meter is sonorously pleasant and the heavy use of alliteration works well for this poem. Thank you for sharing.

This was my 3rd. entry. I entered two prewrites which I knew didn't fully meet your contest demands, but I wanted the writes to get a chance at more reads from others. This one I wrote specifically for your contest. I knew I could give you what you want [I've always loved Science, especially the Medical Sciences] and if I had the time I could wax prolific. I'm kept very busy by my Great Inspirerer. Third time is a charm as they say [I don't believe in charms or magic] & I'm happy to see you felt this humble acrostic deserved an HM!
This was an interesting adventure for me & very enlightening.
*lightening*
BTW...I'm a Bible Scholar for more than 20 years
[that's student!] & yes sir, I believe in Intelligent Design. I'm not ashamed of my belief & you've no reason to apologize.
Science has much to discover about His Creation & all of the most creative Scientists I know of are also believers in The Creator.
This was a great contest. Looking forward to reading the trophy winners.
