Once upon a time,
Running around as little girls,
We were as close as two leaves from
The same tree.
We were imaginative,
Creative, full of life and laughter.
Nothing would separate us,
Or so I thought.
The Relationship we had
Was always smiling as
Bright as the sun.
But as time went on
And you both reached those
Psychotic teenage years,
You left me on my own.
There went that Relationship,
Right out of the window.
A feather floating on the breeze
Away from the nest
Of grown birds
All about to fly away
And head off to
Their separate destinations.
Pulling everything apart
At the seams.
