It's supposed to be.

She says that there's something about me,
something about me that beams when I'm around you.

She says I'm love struck,
and I can feel it like an energy,
burning the outer layers of my skin.

She says that there's something about you,
something about you that makes you different when you're around me.

She says you've got this face,
like you're proud I'm there;
that you get to show me off,

and I bite my lip,
and you bite your tongue,
and I'm happy.

My eyelashes trace my cheekbones gently
when my blush gravitates towards the ground.

I push you,
and I wrinkle my nose,
and you shake your head,
and we roll our eyes,
and we hold each others' hands,

and
this is how

it's supposed to be.

Author notes

I don't even know.
I don't even know why my writing is so sad lately. It's just miserable! D:

I guess I feel like making anything interesting would be too much for what I'm trying to express. I don't know.

    Unsuspecting

I sense a feeling of someone controlling you? (e.g. a parent or someone of higher state)

In the end very good outcome.
