And it's just like all of them said it would be
It feels just like they said it would.
So many people call this cliché
but all of them were right.
Your skin is as soft as a baby's skin,
it does feel like silk.
I am watching the rising and falling of
your chest
and listening to your heart beat.
I am indeed afraid to move a muscle
for fear that I would wake you.
So many writers, singers, and poets
written on all the same thing.
But they were right, and I refuse to
call it cliché.
I am swept away by this moment.
I am fearing its end.
At this moment I do know peace.
And it's all I can do not to cry.
I'm sure there's more I could say,
I could say all they've said
in a different way.
I could re-say their words
and make them mine
but in the end I think
I would find
That they were right,
they were right,
This is right.

bravo times ten
is it redundant to tell the sunset your eyes will never be the same after seeing all its colours? or is your mere breathlessness testament enough............. -
wow.. I love the way that you have taken off into a different direction with this write and yet still stayed on the topic.. nicely done... and I agree completely.. they were right! every last one of them.. there is so much that one can say about this topic though by all those who have already written about it .. I think that pretty much everything has been covered and well.. this is exactly your point.. nicely done once again.. great job... best of luck in the contest!!!!
