I Rejoice

Lord, I kneel humbly before you,
Searching for Your consoling voice,
To ease my pain and guide me through;
For when I talk to You, I rejoice.

You’re like a splendorous refrain,
Filling my soul with your essence,
Singing to me those songs, again,
Of Peace and Love: Your quintessence.

Your love and grace are my best wealth,
Providing solace with your voice;
You give me new life and good health,
And when I speak to You, I rejoice.

My life is empty, Lord, without You,
But when I talk to Thee, I rejoice.

    Beautiful, spiritual piece. I don't recognize the quote you used, though it is very similar to the verse from Psalms "As I walk through the valley of death, I do not fear because you are with me."

    This is truly a wonderful sonnet and statement of faith. It's worth many reads and I for one can draw strength from it. I know that you have just seen the power of God in a Typhoon and He watched over you through it so this poem comes as no surprise to me. Bravo!

    Love,
    Amera♥
