Lady Of The Night

Lady of the secret night,
Who's heart echos with screams.
Her lips traced with crimson blood,
for the lies she has come to taste.
Like a tomb shes closed within,
so numb to the light beyond.
Yet you'll never find her reaching,
for a world not worth her time.
she sits beautifully composed
upon her throne of shadows.
Lost within a dark horizon,
she finds comfort in her cell of webs.
Each memory tangled around her,
binding her sheltered silence.
You can sometimes hear her whisper
into the breeze of the midnight air.
She sits in dreams and calls to you,
from the shadows of despair.

    wow, I really enjoyed reading this...
    it is a very powerful write, full of great imagery...

    I liked this part the best, in some way it reminded me of myself, how I felt at my darkest times...

    SEXY!

    I don't know why but I find her image and they way she carries herself very sexy. I would of loved to have met a woman like that 4 years ago hahaha! Wonderful poem. Reminds me of alot of my ex's sadly.

    This is beautifully written! I can really relate to her. Great choice of words and good flow! Im sure we can all relate to her in some way or another. I feel really sad for her. I wish you the best of luck in your contest!
