Cold

Never thought that my dreams would come true, till I
Stared at you from the window, watching your every move, and it's
Poetry for the deaf and blind, I close my eyes

I remember on a bench with you
Staying up talking of nothing new
Waiting for the stars to shine through, as I
Caught the glare from your eyes
You could see what was on my mind
So what should we do?

BUT DON'T YOU SEE

I can't go on anymore
Dragged through all those endless doors
What are you waiting for?

SO RUN AWAY

Can't let go of what's inside
Afraid of the part that might die
Well I think now is the time
Let it go and don't you run
Back to find where it's gone, cause
It won't be waiting like you did

SO DON'T YOU SEE

You never had a chance to be
Anything bigger than a dream
Lost forever out at sea

SO RUN AWAY

Now you found a place you can be
Alone with the voices in me
Telling you all this time
That you and I did not fall far
From the tree with its closed arms
Holding on to you a little long
Make this feeling one you know
Never will it be so cold
In your heart

again...

Author notes

I'm so sick of people not willing to throw something into the ring and give it a chance. I'm being hypocritical of the same, but I've loved before, and I am not daring at all when I say I will love again. You must experience heartbreak, become bitter and cold, before you can move on and find what you want. Hell, you will never know what you want until you feel that pain! You need to know that you hate it, in order to hate it.

Or kiss forever what you want goodbye
