Gray-scale Bubbles

So did you know
that bubbles shine
the way I imagine your eyes would
looking into mine.

and as I watch them
floating away
I wonder if they're scared of heights
and if they'll take

with bubbles bursting
at the seams.

They'll take

to a moment in a better day

a rainbow shade of gray.

I'm bursting rainbow drops
that finally stop
and let me see the colors
