Within this silence,
Something tries so hard to speak to me
Motions of people shuffling through the leaves of Autumn
Holding onto the silence is all I have
When music plays in the background
All I feel is the sound bouncing against my eardrums
Not a sound in site
If only I could hear your sweet voice singing through me
Though I fight to sense the slightest of any sound
I wonder what it would be like to be deaf?
Danger, Danger
It's all there
Figuring out the words that the public tries to say to me
What others may see
Is not at all like what I try so badly to hear
Meet me here today and I will rewind the aftermaths of this silence
I will fly so far away from this lonely life living in the darkness of no sounds in site.

A very interesting take on the prompt
And yes you're right, being deaf is often quite isolating and lonely.
Wonderfully done. -
