Crash Into the Ground

Fire deep inside my soul:
Burning drink from crystal holes
Birthed my curse as a young man-
Not caring 'bout the mind destruction.
Thanks to Captain Morgan's induction,
I'm Jack Daniel's biggest fan.

Gulp after gulp, bottle after bottle,
I let my myself run rampant all around-
Making sure my hand's on that glass throttle
So I can take a crash into the ground.

Fire deep inside my soul:
Now I take a whiskey stroll
Down the blur of Brandy Lane-
My liver takes another rum hit.
I'm falling down the Sam Adams pit,
To chug some more vodka veins.

Gulp after gulp, bottle after bottle,
I become king of the sour mash mound-
Wrapping my fingers on that glass throttle
To make another crash into the ground.

Fire deep within my soul:
Assuming my tipsy role
As the master of red-eye-
Cars and trucks turning into bright lights.
Metal and wood start an off-road fight,
Friends give their bloody goodbyes.

Gulp after gulp, bottle after bottle,
I've killed my friends and now become jail-bound-
Still I keep my grip on that glass throttle
And make another crash into the ground.

    Very Convincing

I really enjoyed this, the first piece of yours I have read. It reminds me of a book I am reading, The Gargoyle, very interesting read as well. You could be a novelist, I think, at how convincing you were that it was you. I am looking forward to more. Thanks!
