She is broken, falling, shards of glass...
Open window, forgotten past.
Just a memory that haunts your soul...
Tattered white, a broken mold.
Fallen angel, broken wing...
Guided blindly when you sing.
She is gone, forever lost...
Wanting it back at all costs.
Opened eyes, an endless dark...
A blinding light, a permanent mark.
Wash her dress, trying to restore
The one thing lost, forever more.
It won't come clean, the slate is chipped,
A forever reminder of his lips.
Words he spoke were all lies,
Flashbacks of his demonic ties.
She should have seen it, it was all to clear...
But he called her his loving 'dear'.
His brown eyes were dark, his voice so smooth,
How was she to know he didn't speak the truth?
The perfect angel, all dressed in white,
The devil's son, wanting more then just a fight.
He pulled her down, her wings falling free,
Breaking promises as they be.
She cries alone, her eyes blinded by dark.
What does it matter when you have been marked?
Two perfect scars where her wings had been,
She was now the devil's kin.
What had happened? Why'd she fall?
Why did she answer when he called?
None of it matters. The past is the past.
Don't spend your life fighting to get it back.
Patch up the gashes. Cover the scars,
Turn your eyes up towards the stars.
The light will break though, you will see,
God can save you, and you will be,
In His grace, His unbinding love,
That's when push comes to shove.
Second chances, another shot.
Breaking though, we all have fought,
Getting back what we had lost...
Forgiveness, unbinding grace,
Just a simple, sweet taste.
Her wings are back, she flies again,
Ties are broken, those things called sins.
Dress restored, and light shines through,
Welcoming hope and love be true.

Was it too much...? Or do you see where I come from?
