I walk down this path not knowing the end
or even knowing what direction it takes me
i am just following the wind..
my heart seems to become darker
with each passing day
As if it was falling into a dark abyss
but then a light shined on me
as if the sun began
to recognize my existence once more.
my life was starting to look up again
but i have to ask
for how long will this happiness last?
before I might have seemed happy
but i was dying on the inside
so with this i will come to an end for now
this is my life story that has just started
who knows what lies ahead for me
in this large unexpected world
we all call home

this is exactly how i am feeling..one moment so depressed it seems no hope and the next everything seems fine. like nothing happpened. great write. i just wish you didnt doubt yourself so much

I think that this is a great poem. I'm feeling a bit lost right now, as well. I'm going in one direction, but I'm not exactly sure where it's going to take me. "I walk down this path not knowing the end, or even knowing what direction it takes me", is probably my favorite part. That's a brilliant way to start a poem.
