A Reminder Of Who We Are

We are always changing
Somedays we grow and others we shrink
And there has never been a way of knowing
How tomorrow wilol effect what we think

We never mean to hurt those around us
Or that's what we say in the heat of goodbye
But we're all just afriad to give our trust
To someone who may not survive

We always look for the future
Or lock ourselves in the past
Giving into the pressure
Without ever seeing what we have

We change for the ones we love
Or we push them away in fear
And one day we might regret being so tough
Because that day those people won't be here

We  smother otheres in affection
Or mock them with foolish pride
Everyway we go seems to be the wrong direction
When we can't see past whats inside

Someday we may look back in time
And wonder what we could've been
But for now we sit back and pine
For the days we wast now and then

So be yourself no matter what
And live this life with all your heart
Because one day you'll have to give it all up
But this could be the begining and everyone knows the begining is the best place to start
