speaking with the sky

the sky spoke of
autumn,with
the pale creams of
blue and gold
clouds gaping in spots
of almost
indecent views
of clear skies-

branches bow and
bend to the
voice that calls
letting lose
their hold over
green mantels
giving way to
golden showers,russet floods
and orange flames,
falling through
the sky-

as the sky spoke of
autumn in tones
of hushed adornment-

    Autumn is my favourite time of year... I expected that as autumn closed in the site would fill up with lots of poems dripping with pathetic fallacy. But I never expected to like any of them as much as I like this one. You capture the peace and the inner calm that autumn tends to bring really well and your images are so clear, so vivid and beautiful. I love it..

    I love that, well all of it actually, but particularly that line. A lovely soft, dreamy feel to this....very nicely written.
