Mother

I see your picture everyday
As I passed along the hall
I remember the day it was taken
When you placed it on this wall

Although it seems like yesterday
The years just roll on bye
If I had only known back then
We would have to say goodbye

To hold you close one more time
And never let you go
No matter how hard I try
I know it can’t be so

There are days I think I can’t go on
Especially in the fall
Watching the leaves fall from the trees
Is when I miss you most of all

Author notes

Not my best poem, rhyme scheme is terrible and choice of words are not great, but i needed to get this out. Probably come back and revise it someday.

Please tell me what you think

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!

I think you did a great job expressing yourself in this piece Bill. It is a difficult task to write about something tradgic that happened in your life but I also find it to be quite theraputic to write, edit and write somemore. Keep up the great work there Cuz, your Mom will never be forgotten.

    Love You muches
