Do you know what it's like?
have you ever been there?
To that place where there is only solitude and dispare
How is it I feel so all alone?
What is it I must atone?
Inside I just want to scream,
While searching for my self esteem.
Why is it I feel so useless,
And just when will my life make sense?
Is there really a feeling called happiness,
Will I find it, and cross that side of the fence?
Most days just seem to fly by,
But certain days I just want to cry.
When will I get a grip on my strife,
And find what I'm looking for in my life?
No one seems to understand,
Hell I can't even begin to explain.
All I know is my soul feels lonely,
And my heart is full of pain.
So one day at a time I go,
But I hate these days of the blues.
No matter how much I try to change it ,
I just can not shake this sad sullen mood.
I guess it can't get any worse,
I'm just looking for some solid ground.
A place within me that is satisfied,
With the person I've become and found.
So I will pick up my pieces and move on,
It’s all that I can do.
And pray that I find that happiness,
That will turn my gray skies to blue

I want to Thank You & Toni for the gold, it is appreciated more than you know. I know what you mean about waiting for the gray sky's to turn blue. Recently I had an epiphany " We ourselves must change the course of our lives with deliberate and calculating moves to help us change and make our own sky's blue once again. We just can't wait around wishing something to happen to change it all for us."

Yeah, I like the rhyme too... it flows well with the rest of the rhythms in the piece. And the content is right on too. Those feelings of "the blues" are hard to run away from... best to face them. Good job.

Your rhyme is really amazing here, and I can relate to this more than you could ever imagine. I think though while most people are out there looking for that special someone, I am looking for that special something I was created to do. Hence, finding someone who is like minded and enjoys the same things I do and we could go from there. Who really knows the answers??? Surely not I!!!
