Lust, love, and living

Tonight I throw myself out once more,
like I've done so many nights before.
Yet, this time I was almost caught,
almost in another's grasp.
Love at last?
No, but alas.
I almost heard those words I need to hear,
to make each bad day disappear.

But low and behold
come not do they.
My heart sinks deeper,
the slope of anguish growing steeper.
I hope.
I pray.
Maybe someone will save me someday.
Pull me from my neediness,
and me with their presence bless.

In Lust,Love, and Living, on i walk, looking for a hold on HIM.
