From This to That

From scraped up knees
To broken hearts
Finger painting
To actual art

From jumping in mud
To walking around
Jumping up towards the sky
To never leaving the ground

From playing outside
To staying indoors
Playing sports just for fun
To only seeing the score

From smiles and laughs
To rumors and such
Not caring what they think
To caring too much

Oh how times have changed
Between then and now
But day to day it's the same
And I can't figure out how.
